Lithium 20V MAX* Drill/Driver holds a charge up to 18 months

TOWSON, Md. (EMBARGO – October 2011) – Industry leader Black & Decker® (NYSE: SWK) expands its range of innovative 20V MAX* Lithium products with the addition of the new Lithium 20V MAX* Drill/Driver (LDX220SB/). This new two-speed Lithium drill/driver answers the needs of serious DIYers.

Black & Decker’s new 20V MAX* Lithium Drill/Driver provides optimum control with its two-speed design. Users can take it from either 0-400 RPM at low speed or 0-1400 at high speed with the flip of a switch for handling of more difficult driving tasks. Additionally, the drill’s 11-position clutch helps to prevent stripping of screws.

The new 20V MAX* Lithium Drill/Driver is 35% smaller and 25% lighter** making it one of the most compact designs on the market today – without sacrificing power. In fact, the drill is lightweight enough to handle serious household jobs with ease and small enough to allow for easy access into tight spaces such as around cabinetry.

Black & Decker’s efficient and dependable new two-speed drill/driver offers additional helpful features such as an ergonomic handle design with overmolded grip for comfort, a keyless chuck for quick and simple bit changes and an LED light to illuminate project areas.
