TOWSON, Md. — This spring Black & Decker launches three new mowers, including the 36 Volt, 19 In. Rechargeable Mower with Removable Battery (CM1936), 36 Volt 18 In. Rechargeable Mower with Rear Bag (CM1836), and the 12 Amp, 18 In. Corded Mulching Mower with Rear Bag (MM1800). The newly designed, highly efficient corded and cordless mowers offer users unparalleled power and convenience, making yard care easier and better than ever before.

“Now users can achieve a manicured lawn, without the hassles commonly associated with gas-powered mowers. Our new mowers feature a high-performance, super efficient motor and a new and improved blade design to generate better cut results and longer run time,” says Joe Newland, Group Product Manager, outdoor products for Black & Decker. “With our new cordless units, users will be able to cut up to a typical 1/3 acre home site with just one charge.”

Thanks to numerous innovative features, the new mowers provide users just what they’ve been craving from corded and cordless mowers, including:

• Patented One Touch Height Adjustment — Users can easily adjust cutting height of all four wheels at once with the pull of a single lever.
• Convenient Storage — Unlike gas mowers, users can fold mowers for upright or compact storage, which is ideal for small spaces in sheds or garages.

An added innovation unique to the 19 In. model is a removable battery which makes charging simple and convenient. The battery easily lifts out and can be charged away from the mower. Users can also purchase additional batteries for more run-time required with larger lots.

If that’s not enough, the new mowers are also more energy efficient than gas powered mowers. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), gas powered engines from outdoor lawn equipment produce over one million tons of polluting air emissions per year. The new mowers produce zero harmful emissions in the yard. Users can reduce noise and harmful emissions with energy efficient mowers rather than using gas-powered lawn mowers. In addition, the charging systems are Energy Star® qualified by the EPA.
